Contributing to the global environment through measurement technology
There is a strong demand for non-contact gap measurement in areas where conventional methods—such as thickness gauges or laser-based systems—are impractical, including high-temperature zones, complex pathways, and hard-to-reach locations; users also seek to eliminate the measurement inconsistencies that arise from relying on an operator's tactile judgment.
The "Gapman" real-time gap measurement system is designed to meet these specific needs.
Multi-channel rack-mount versions are also available.
It visualizes gaps of all kinds and drives Digital Transformation (DX).
There is a strong demand for non-contact gap measurement in locations that are difficult to access—such as high-temperature areas, complex pathways, or spots beyond reach—where conventional thickness gauges or laser measurement tools cannot be used, and where users wish to eliminate the measurement inconsistencies inherent in manual gauge methods.
The "Gapman" handheld, real-time gap measurement system is designed to meet these needs.
It automatically measures both the minimum gap and the maximum gap within the measurement area.
The device can store up to 20,000 measurement data points internally, thereby contributing to digital transformation (DX) efforts.
In the manufacture of films and tapes, controlling the gap between the slot die lip (or die head) and the roller is a critical factor affecting product quality.
While a precision level of 0.3 μm or finer is desirable, maintaining such accuracy is challenging with conventional gauging methods that rely on the operator's tactile sense.
Slot die lip profile measurement systems—which provide data on the continuous gap along the length of the die lip—enable profiling with the required high level of precision.
