Sanei Kogyo will be exhibiting New type of plastics.
◆ Precise Thermal Degradation
Our proprietary technology imparts high reactivity to a wide variety of plastics. It can also be applied to recycled materials.
◆ Terminal Double bond Polypropylene
A polypropylene (PP) with double bonds at both molecular ends, produced via precise thermal decomposition. The high reactivity of these double bonds allows for functionalization by adding various functional groups.
◆ Polypropylene Ionomer
A block copolymer featuring polyacrylic acid at both PP terminals. By introducing acid blocks while maintaining the crystallinity of PP, it demonstrates high performance as a modifier.
Our proprietary technology imparts high reactivity by introducing highly reactive double bonds at the terminals of plastics, all while preserving their inherent properties. It is compatible with a wide variety of plastics, including polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), and cycloolefin polymer (COP), and can be applied to recycled materials as well as virgin materials.
This polypropylene (PP) features double bonds at its terminals, produced via precise thermal decomposition. The high reactivity of these double bonds allows for functionalization by adding various functional groups, such as acrylic acid, acrylamide, and maleic anhydride. It is compatible with various PP grades—such as homo, block, and random PP—with a wide molecular weight range from 5,000 to 40,000.
This triblock copolymer is obtained by introducing polyacrylic acid to double-bonded terminals of PP. It possesses excellent polarity while preserving the inherent crystallinity of PP. Used as a raw material for adhesives and coatings, or as a modifier for PP-matrix composites, it demonstrates high adhesion and affinity with dissimilar materials, contributing to enhanced product strength and durability.
