Real-Time Multi-Monitoring for Cell Culture and Fermentation
We are developing biosensors based on conductive enzyme technology originating at Kyoto University to measure sugars, lactate, alcohol, oxygen and other analytes in cell culture and fermentation in real time. By continuously visualizing multiple analytes, we aim to support faster process decisions, consistent quality and reduced manual workload. We welcome discussions on proof-of-concept studies, joint development and product adoption with partners across biomanufacturing, including pharmaceutical companies, CDMOs, food and cosmetics manufacturers, and bioreactor and analytical instrument manufacturers.
Multiple sensors are integrated into a compact probe to measure analytes such as sugars, lactate, alcohol and oxygen on a single platform. By combining biosensors, a measurement device and data visualization, we aim to enable continuous monitoring that complements precision analysis such as HPLC. Additional conductive enzymes allow expansion to further target analytes. Potential applications include culture condition optimization and early detection of process abnormalities. The technology is at the proof-of-concept stage; we welcome discussions on application-specific validation and joint development.
