Polyfunctional Thiols for UV and Thermal Curing
We will showcase our Multhiol® series of polyfunctional thiols for both UV and thermal curing applications. Alongside ester-based thiols such as TMMP and PEMP, we will present ether-based thiols that offer superior water resistance and flexibility. Our thiol products help improve curing efficiency, reduce oxygen inhibition, enhance adhesion, and enable low-temperature, rapid epoxy curing. In addition, we will introduce SZR, a zirconia material for high-refractive-index applications.
Thiol compounds are known for their characteristic odor, and there is a strong demand for odor reduction. To address this need, we are actively developing low-odor thiol products. LV (Low VOC) series significantly reduces odor while maintaining the reactivity and formulation performance of conventional multifunctional thiols. Owing to its low-odor characteristics, the LV series is suitable for applications such as crafts and dental materials, enabling expansion into a wide range of industries and applications.
The Multhiol® series is a family of ether-type polyfunctional thiols, consisting of Multhiol® Y-3 (trifunctional) and Multhiol® Y-4 (tetrafunctional) grades. While retaining the key advantages of the conventional ester-type polyfunctional thiols TMMP and PEMP, including rapid curing, low-temperature curing, improved adhesion, and UV sensitization, the ether structure provides enhanced flexibility and water resistance. The series can be used as UV-curing sensitizers, epoxy curing agents, and additives for dual-curing systems, making it suitable for high-reliability applications such as electronic adhesives and encapsulation materials.
This dispersion contains zirconium oxide nanoparticles with a particle size of less than 10 nm, stably dispersed at a high concentration. When incorporated into resins, it enables a higher refractive index while maintaining excellent transparency by leveraging the unique properties of nanoparticles. It is well suited for applications requiring superior optical performance, such as optical components, hard-coat materials, and advanced coating materials.
