Clog-free sludge dewatering. No backwashing. Slit Saver by Kendensha
We exhibit the actual Slit Saver System SY-612, a sludge dewatering machine that processes continuously from coagulation to dewatering. Rotating elliptical discs and fixed slits prevent clogging, so no backwashing is needed. The exhibited SY-612 has an electric capacity of only 0.8 kW. We also hold on-site demonstration tests of our Electro-osmotic Dewatering Machine, which reduces cake mass by about 50% (moisture 80% to 60%). Over 1,400 Slit Saver units have been delivered. Continuous treatment from coagulation to dewatering. Rotating elliptical discs and fixed slits keep each other clean, so the screen never clogs and no washing water is used during operation. The exhibited SY-612 has a capacity of 30-50 kg-DS/h and an electric capacity of only 0.8 kW. Field results of Slit Saver units: cake moisture 75-86% and SS recovery 90-99% (values vary with sludge). Suitable for food-factory, livestock and digested sludge. Cleaning once a day and regular greasing are all that is needed. Automatic operation is possible when linked with an automatic polymer dissolving unit. Over 1,400 Slit Saver units delivered.
The Electro-osmotic Dewatering Machine ELO-Ms series uses electro-osmosis to separate interstitial and surface water that mechanical dewatering cannot remove. It reduces the moisture of sludge cake from 80-85% to 60-70% and cuts cake mass by about 50% (catalog values). Demonstration tests using the electro-osmosis phenomenon are conducted on site. The final moisture is adjustable. Continuous treatment takes about 2 minutes, and the machine can be added downstream of existing dewatering machines. The modular design helps reduce disposal costs and bulking agents for composting. Delivered in Japan and overseas.
