We present 3D-printed titanium implants with multiscale structural control, ranging from porous architectures to micro- and nanoscale surface features, to promote bone formation, enhance antibacterial properties, and improve stress distribution. The exhibition includes a poster highlighting our technology, an enlarged model of a gradient porous structure, titanium plates incorporating various functional ions, and a video demonstrating stress distribution simulations.
We introduce an electron microscopy technique for live imaging, currently under development, using previously published videos of unfixed cardiac tissue in solution. In a separate line of research, we aim to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying stable contractile rhythms by linking optical measurements of cardiac sarcomere dynamics with structural analysis of rapidly frozen samples using cryo-electron microscopy.
