    【Abstract】

With the implementation of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), the European packaging industry is undergoing significant change. Recyclable design, mono-material packaging, recycled content utilization, and enhanced traceability are becoming key requirements across the value chain.

This presentation provides an overview of the latest European packaging trends, including insights from Interpack 2026, and discusses the current status and future outlook of PPWR compliance. It also examines the role of Electron Beam (EB) curing printing technology from the perspectives of sustainability, packaging design, and manufacturing efficiency. Through comparisons with conventional printing technologies such as gravure and flexographic printing, the session explores how printing technologies may contribute to the next generation of sustainable packaging solutions.
